The top products of the past year that are our in the market are here once again, chosen by our panels of prestigious judges in three categories: lighting, projection, and sound.
Funded by a Kickstarter campaign in prototype form a couple years back, the Lumu light meter has found many fans in the lighting design community. The most recent version improved the accuracy of t0.1 flash duration, as well as t0.5 time added to the flash detailed screen, where users can choose between t0.1 and t0.5 times. The filters section enables multiple filters to be applied at once and allows users to change different ND filter notations. One judge says it’s “accurate next to other standard meters for a small fraction of the price,” while another adds that it “stands up right next to my Sekonics and Minolta meters. For the price, I don’t know why every LD is not rolling with two in their bag.” lu.mu
