The Philips Vari-Lite VL3515 Spot luminaire uses the double-ended Osram 1,500W lamp and features a 6:1 zoom optics system along with CYM color mixing, a six-position color wheel, variable CTO color temperature correction, gobo/effects wheels, iris, and fast strobe mechanisms. It also has a four-blade shutter mechanism that allows the blades to be operated independently or in unison. Standard dual reflectors allow users to choose between a peaked or flat field beam. In the peaked beam, the fixture provides 27,000 lumens of output, and in the flat field beam, 22,000 lumens. The reflectors are easily changed, and whichever one is not chosen rides securely on a specially designed internal mount.
