LightShark from Equipson/Work Pro is a new range of hardware lighting consoles featuring wireless, browser-based control from a multi-touch smartphone or tablet, with support for up to three connected devices simultaneously. The range comprises two products, the LS-1 console and the LS-Core. The LS-1 marries software-only lighting control with an ergonomic hardware control surface, while the LS-Core omits the hardware control surface but offers the same lighting control software, processing power, and smartphone/tablet-based software control interface. LS-1 users can control lighting systems via the browser-based control software, a combination of the LS-1 hardware and a mobile device, or the LS-1 hardware alone. Key features include control of eight DMX universes, plus built-in support for the lighting fixtures library. A fixtures editor is also built into the console for those that wish to modify or customize control templates.
