Lighting At The Paralympic Opening Ceremonies

March 12 saw the Opening Ceremonies for the 2010 Vancouver Paralympics, with Patrick Roberge as producer/artistic director and lighting by Robert Sondergaard of Electric Aura. “The entire system was drawn in 3D in wysiwyg and we used it for daytime programming,” says Sondergaard, noting that the lighting for the ceremonies was based on the initial plot created by Bob Dickinson of Full Flood for the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games on February 12, 2010 in the same venue.
