Paul Reale Keynote At LDI Green Day

Paul Reale, chief executive officer and founder of Green Allowance, a company that motivates and empowers children to champion resource conservation, will be the keynote speaker at LDI2009's Green Day: Greening In The Entertainment Industry conference on Thursday, November 19, 2009 in Orlando, FL. "We are very excited to have someone trained by Al Gore to kick-off the sessions at Green Day," says Robert Usdin of Showman Fabricators, who has organized this important "green" initiative at LDI, which includes the conference component as well as a Green Technology Showcase* on the exhibit floor.

Reale formed Green Allowance in 2008 with a vision for children in the United States to transform their families into the most resource-efficient in the industrialized world. Using Green Allowance, children make a deal with their parents to conserve at home, which saves the family money and children receive a Green Allowance.

Green Allowance is the latest project by Reale, who is active in and passionate about green initiatives. He was selected by The Climate Project to be personally trained by vice president and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Al Gore to present his slide show on climate change. He is a LEED Accredited Professional as bestowed by the U.S. Green Building Council, and a member of Manhattan Community Board 7’s Green Committee to help chart a path for his local community of 200,000 residents to live a more sustainable lifestyle.

Reale became active in environmental initiatives after more than 20 years of international corporate management, systems engineering, and corporate training in the U.S. and the United Kingdom with Bell Laboratories and Lucent Technologies. He has led teams dispersed across six continents in workforce management efforts, quality management assurance, and cost reductions through global workforce distribution. He holds a M.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Pratt Institute. He is married and lives in Manhattan.
