Multiple Awards Ceremonies Hosted at LDI2019

The LDI Conference and Tradeshow is set to celebrate the best in creativity and technology this November as the Debuting Products Awards, Booth Awards, and the Knight of Illumination Awards USA (KOI-USA) return.

LDI’s Debuting Products Awards highlight new technology premiering at the show, which takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center November 18-24, 2019. The products are judged by a panel of industry professionals, with winners selected based on their innovation and technological advancement in product development. Awards will be given in the following categories: Best Debuting Product for Sound; Widgets; Special Effects; Staging and Rigging; Video/Projection; and Lighting. The awards are presented at a ceremony on the show floor on Saturday, November 23. To be eligible for the awards, products must have been introduced to the North American Market since LDI2018.

The LDI Booth Awards honor the companies and products that stand out on the show floor, and all exhibitors are invited to nominate their booths. Categories include: Best Small Booth; Best Large Booth; Booth with the Most Creative Use of Light; and Best Product Presentation.

This year, LDI is introducing a new award to be presented during the Booth Awards and Debuting Product Awards ceremony: the Sustainability Award. This award is a special citation for sustainability efforts—either environmental or community—whether in the manufacturing process, daily company operation, or community outreach. Consideration will be given to companies demonstrating exceptional efforts in reducing their carbon footprints or giving back to the community or a combination of the two.

The ultimate showcase of video and lighting design, KOI-USA is back for its second year at LDI with a glittering ceremony on Friday, November 22. David Johnson, Live Design managing director will host the gala dinner and awards, with numerous categories within the sectors of Theatre, Live for Broadcast, and Concert Touring & Events, with winners selected by panels of impartial specialists with expert knowledge in their respective fields.

In conjunction with the continued expansion of LDI, KOI-USA has announced a venue change for the second edition of the Awards following a high level of interest in attendance. The highly respected ceremony and three-course gala dinner will move to The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

“After our inaugural Knight of Illumination Awards USA ceremony last year, we are very excited to expand the awards categories, honoring the best of the best in design in our 2019 venue, The Joint, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino,” says LDI show manager, Jessi Cybulski. “Additionally, LDI wouldn’t be complete without the recognition of the amazing work that our exhibitors do. This year, we are enthusiastic to bring back the LDI Booth Awards, celebrating the innovation, technology, and immersive and magical displays on the show floor. There is a lot to be excited about at LDI2019.”

The 32nd edition of the LDI Conference and Tradeshow is on track to be the most well-attended show to date with more than 14,000 visitors and almost 400 exhibitors expected.

To nominate a new product, exhibitors can find the form on their exhibitor console on the LDI website. Deadline for submissions is November 8
