For the second year in a row, LDI Tradeshow and Conference will host parents and children from Families for Effective Autism Treatment (FEAT) of Southern Nevada for a Sunday Sensory Stroll of the LDI show floor at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Held November 18 to 24, LDI2019 will welcome families affected by autism on Sunday, November 24 at 11 a.m. for a tour of various booths and lighting and video displays across the Exhibit Hall and conclude at the Live Experience Lounge with an immersive, interactive sensory booth, featuring various lighting and audiovisual setups, provided by Encore Productions, MASARY Studios, and WorldStage.
“Light can be used as a form of therapy for children with autism,” explained LDI’s show manager Jessi Cybulski, “which means many of the products we design, manufacture, and operate in this industry have a therapeutic effect for children. The Sunday Stroll was a great success last year, and we had amazing feedback from the industry. We are very pleased to welcome the families of FEAT once again and hope to continue to grow this important initiative.”
“FEAT is excited to partner with LDI once again to offer this unique opportunity to Las Vegas families,” commented Jennifer Strobel, executive director at FEAT of Southern Nevada. “Last year was an amazing experience, and this year is sure to exceed expectations! The hands-on, sensory-friendly booth and the guided tour through the showroom floor is a once in a lifetime experience for these kids. Watching their excitement and eyes light up is priceless!”
“It was amazing to see the kids light up while playing with the gear last year,” said Andrew Kurcan, media producer at Encore Productions. “We are happy to return!”
The Sunday Stroll with FEAT is part of the LDI Impact initiatives to give back to the community and to pursue Live Design/LDI’s ultimate purpose of inspiring the art and design of live experiences.
