Millions of people working in the $877-billion live events industry have suffered since COVID-19 cancelled 95% of live events. Since August, #WeMakeEvents, a coalition of industry professionals supported by trade bodies, businesses, unions, and non-profit associations, has illuminated thousands of buildings in ruby red to raise awareness and support for an industry which is on red alert.
