The Standfast Portable floor is heavy-duty flooring designed to be extremely hard-wearing for use in a studio or as a theatre stage floor. It can also be used for ballet, contemporary, jazz, and all percussive dances. Like the original Standfast, this version is a calendared vinyl dance floor consisting of a complex “sandwich” design, providing a slip-resistant surface on the performance side. It controls friction, so no rosin is needed, and it is extremely durable. Harlequin states that it has a silky and warm feel that dancers prefer and recommends the floor for either portable or permanent installations.
