G-LEC® Agrees To North American Deal With TMB

Following a series of discussions that were initiated at the PLASA show this year, G-LEC, the German manufacturer of the G-LEC LED curtain system, has announced the appointment of TMB as its exclusive Sales Partner for G-LEC products in North America.

The appointment coincides with the introduction in North America of G-LEC’s new LightFrame, the first of the company’s systems to be made available for outright purchase. A budget-conscious system designed for touring, the LightFrame is also one of the first RDM compatible devices on the market. It is expected to be used on large concerts, television entertainment shows, and even for big outdoor shows, where its potentially unlimited size and transparency to the elements will prove invaluable for many events.

LightFrame’s transparency gives designers with flair and imagination the opportunity to create fantastic effects, using the frames as part of moving scenery, or hiding and revealing artists and scenery behind. Its light weight means that it is even possible to fly and truck systems without the need to reinforce staging or flying machinery.

Colin Waters, CEO of TMB, said: "LED display is the new frontier in entertainment production and G-LEC are one of its true pioneers. Helping our professional customers discover the potential of G-LEC is really going to be fun."

This is the second US appointment in less than a year for fast-growing G-LEC, which specializes in large-scale transparent and lightweight LED display systems. The company’s expanding North American operations also includes Scharff Weisberg as its exclusive rental partner in the US. Scharff Weisberg recently used the G-LEC ClassicFrame system for the opening of the NFL season.
