This essential two-day session offers hands-on experience, in-depth information, demos, and safety practices for stagehands, riggers, and technicians with varying levels of experience. Veterans and those new to the entertainment industry will all take away highly useful information.
Topics cover: hoist assembly, re-assembly, troubleshooting and maintenance conducted by a Columbus McKinnon representative, truss design, usage and theory with Will Todd, TOMCAT USA's Product Support Manager, plus a half day of fall protection instruction with Bill Sapsis founder and president of Sapsis Rigging. This is a beginning to intermediate level course for all industry professionals who work with chain motors, truss, and/or fall protection equipment.
Day I: This full day class has plenty of hands-on experience as participants are led through the disassembly and reassembly of a one-ton
CM Lodestar chain hoist by a representative of Columbus McKinnon. Participants will also receive valuable information on troubleshooting
techniques to take back to the field.
Day II: In the morning, Will Todd of TOMCAT USA will lead a discussion of truss design, usage and theory. Then after a lunch break,
participants will receive highly informative instruction on fall protection from Bill Sapsis—ETCP certified trainer and president of Sapsis Rigging, Inc. The information in his class could save your life!
