LDI Preview: Robe Robin MMX Spot


The MMX Spot is built on Robe’s ROBIN platform and has an optimized optical path using a new 800W discharge lamp that, according to the company, produces prominent light output, exceeding that of currently available 1,200W discharge fixtures. Features include a beam angle of 8.5° to 42.5°, two rotating gobo wheels, an animation wheel that can be combined with the gobo wheels, and DMX-controlled noise reduction of the cooling system. Other features include a CMY and CTO dichroic color flag system, variable frost effect, remote beam flatness, hot-spot control, navigation system for addressing with an LCD touchscreen, battery back-up, and gravity sensor for auto screen positioning.
