David Korins’ Winning Bid At Sotheby’s

Stroll into the past at “Treasures From Chatsworth,” a display of art and antiques from Chatsworth House, the historic UK home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. Now at Sotheby's New York through September 2019, this exhibit includes 45 masterpieces from the family collection, including paintings by major artists, furniture, and decorative objects than span four centuries, as well as jewelry, clothing, and historic items. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

“Treasures From Chatsworth” was designed by award-winning creative director David Korins, scenic designer of the hit Broadway musical, Hamilton, and the recent Hamilton exhibit. Live Design chats with Korins about his work on this artful project.
