China Sets World Record for Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Airborne At Once

On September 20 in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China, Shenzhen Damoda Intelligent Control Technology Co., Ltd. made history as it set a new Guinness World Record of the most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) airborne simultaneously. 

The drone show featured 3,051 UAVs, outstripping the previous record of 2,066 UAVs set by Intel Corporation in Folsom, California, USA on July 15, 2018. The show paid tribute to China's space industry, with intricate drone formations recreating the Beidou navigation system, Tiangong space station program, and Tianwen-1, China's Mars lander and rover.
