To celebrate the achievements of 2018 and to welcome all the prospects of 2019, Live Design is conducting 31 Days Of Plots. Every day during the month of December 2018, we will highlight a different lighting design, from across theatre, concert tours, corporate events, and more.
The XBOX E3 Briefing is a big, bombastic event celebrating the gaming platform and all the debuting content for it. The show was shot and streamed in 4K on several platforms simultaneously including YouTube, Twitch, Mixer, and Xbox. "The 2018 event’s production design was built off the concept of luminous pixelized scenic elements, all of which were driven by realtime generative content," says lighting designer Emanuel Treeson. "Much of the lighting design revolved around creating intricate timecode synced moments to connect the trailers of the upcoming games to an immersive experience in the Microsoft Theater. This was achieved through both traditional lighting and the scenic generative systems."
