The 2nd Annual American Influencer Awards

A judging panel of entertainment professionals shortlisted Michael Easparam's design for The 2nd Annual American Influencer Awards for the Awards Show Production/Scenic Design Award in the Live for Broadcast category in Live Design's 2020 Design Achievement Awards. Michael Easparam designed the 2019 AIA Awards set as something that both "popped" and was agile enough to load quickly because the Dolby Theater was only available for one, single day for all of load in, tech, rehearsals, show, and load out. The result was a clean, modern design featuring considerable LED video walls, camera-friendly spaces left and right for the hosts and award winners, and an open center open for special performances to aid in changeovers. Easparam created texture with LED neon strips accenting vertical towers and the center space, as well as an LED star curtain to fill in the gaps and carry the color themes.

"We often overlook what is ultimately a great design within the face of challenges of time and schedule. Here is a very good example of how well a show can be conceived to load in and shoot in a single day. A thought-out, straightforward set utilizing clean lines with well-placed screens behind presenter locations got the job done admirably. I would be proud to have pulled this level of production off in a single day." — Matt McAdam, a judge for the Design Achievement Awards
