Meyer Sound Brings New Products And Education To PALME Middle East

This May 20-22, the shimmering, ultramodern city of Dubai will be the site for the PALME Middle East exposition, where Meyer Sound will present a full complement of products, including the new UPJunior™ ultracompact VariO™ loudspeaker and MJF-212A high-power stage monitor being shown in the region for the first time. In addition Meyer Sound’s senior technical seminar Instructor Mauricio “Magu” Ramirez will bring a taste of Meyer Sound’s international education program to the show when he conducts a special presentation on the MAPP Online Pro™ acoustical prediction software as part of PALME's seminar track.

Learning will be ongoing at the Meyer Sound stand, where the Matrix3™ audio show control system, including SpaceMap® multichannel panning and Wild Tracks™ hard disk playback will be regularly demonstrated. Matrix3 is used in numerous Cirque du Soleil® productions.

The new UPJunior is petite yet potent: it measures a mere 19 inches (483 mm) high and weighs only 28 pounds (12.7 kg), yet it packs a peak output of 126 dB SPL and features a field-rotatable 50-degree by 80-degree horn. The new MJF-212A high-power stage monitor (used by Metallica), and the internationally popular M'elodie™ ultracompact high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker will also share the spotlight.

M'elodie's larger MILO® family siblings, the MILO high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker and the MICA™ compact high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker, will both be on display, while the venerable UPA-1P compact wide coverage loudspeaker (outfitted with a new grille) and M1D ultracompact curvilinear array loudspeaker will round out the extensive display of self-powered loudspeakers.

Meyer Sound’s growing family of digital processing and software products will be represented by the Galileo™ loudspeaker management system (with Compass™ control software), the SIM® 3 audio analyzer, Matrix3, and MAPP Online Pro.

Ramirez's presentation about MAPP Online Pro, held on May 20 from 15:00 to 16:30, will focus on the advanced features of the program as they apply to a wide variety of system design scenarios for both portable and installed applications.
