Bosch Moves Steadily Towards Pro Audio Pole Position

January 1, 2007 saw former Telex Communications brands Electro-Voice, Dynacord, Midas, Klark Teknik, and Telex come together under Bosch ownership as Bosch Communications Systems, a new business unit of Bosch Security Systems.

Though the integration of the former Telex into the Bosch group has been a great success, former Telex Pro Audio Group president Mathias von Heydekampf will leave the company at the end of April 2007. Bosch regrets von Heydekampf’s personal decision but thanks him for his contribution to the companies’ success in connection with the Telex acquisition and post merger integration phase.

Now, five months after the establishment of this new business unit (and just eight months after Bosch acquired Telex), Bosch continues its steady progression towards pole position in the pro audio market.

Immediately following their acquisition of Telex, Bosch began major investments in the manufacturing, sales, and marketing of the former Telex brands, demonstrating a long-term commitment to their growth and profitability.

In particular, the improvement and expansion of the Dynacord factory in Straubing, Germany and the Electro-Voice factory in Morrilton, Arkansas literally adds concrete to the common goals that brought the two companies together—high quality, brand stability, and long-term growth.

The former Telex brands continue to develop their individual portfolios under their new ownership—while fully maintaining their existing distribution structure—as the industry witnessed at key trade shows such as NSCA, Musikmesse and NAB.
