West Side Systems has released an upgrade to its Virtual Light Lab software. VLL 2010 adds dozens of models, hundreds of filters, movie recording, chromaticity mapping, and more. Upgrades are available from any prior version. Virtual Light Lab provides a system for quickly placing lights around a model, dropping in standard filters, and adjusting light intensities. Multiple models can be arranged on a stage, and any image can be used as a backdrop. Lighting setups are recorded as scenes which can be played back with timed cross-fades, printed as storyboards, and recorded as movies.
