Tools of the Trade: Pathway Connectivity Pathport Touring Edition and Pathport eDIN

Visit the Pathway Connectivity website.

The Pathport Touring Edition is a single-port DMX node providing DMX-over-Ethernet management features in a truss-mountable form. Designed specifically for the tour and rental markets, the node is fully configurable without need of a computer or a network connection. It features an IP54 rating and a battery-powered user interface for viewing or changing IP address, port direction, DMX speed, and other parameters. Normal show operation uses power-over-Ethernet. The unit also acts as a portable RDM controller able to discover, identify, and address any RDM-enabled devices downstream. Pathport eDIN is suited to system integrators requiring a compact DIN-rail mountable Ethernet node for use in NEMA enclosures. With a footprint of 3.5" x4.5" (90mm x 113mm), it can run on either power-over-Ethernet or an auxiliary 24VDC supply. It supplies DMX output via a pluggable terminal block or an RJ45 jack that is user-switchable between the ESTA standard DMX pin-out and the pin-out used by Philips Solid-State Lighting Solutions/Color Kinetics. Both new units support all popular Ethernet protocols, including ETC Net2 (output only), Strand ShowNet, Pathport, Streaming ACN, and Art-Net, and they can receive and merge different protocols simultaneously.
