The Selecon PLProfile4 from Philips Strand Lighting is a variable-beam LED profile with beam control and pattern projection that uses four LED engines, the same found in the Vari-Lite VLX. Pattern projections allow users to texture the light, while framing shutters allow beam shaping, plus users can quickly switch from wide-zoom to medium-zoom with interchangeable lens trays. Also available is the PLProfile1, with a single LED light engine. Strand has also made enhancements to the touring version, including new plates that allow for C-clamps, side arms, and most bolt-mount requirements, plus a new locking handle.
