GearSource.com And PRG Gear-Up Sale Event

Gear-Source, Inc. and PRG announced today the first ever “Gear-Up” sales event powered by GearSource.com, beginning on May 1. This event will offer equipment from PRG’s audio, lighting, video, and rigging inventory at unheard of auction-like pricing, but without the hassle or buyer premiums associated with auctions.

All items will be sold on a first come, first served basis. “This isn’t an auction, but the buying frenzy will be the same, based on the pricing we’re already seeing coming in,” says GearSource president, Marcel Fairbairn. Some of the initial listings will include: MAC2000 E starting at $3,000, Studio Spot 575 at $3,000 per pair, Hog II packages starting at $8,000, and much more. As an added bonus, all orders of $10,000 or more include free freight anywhere in the continental US. “Obviously, PRG has a massive inventory of equipment in audio and lighting. This event is created to help them liquidate that inventory without the trouble of staging an auction,” says Fairbairn. While the Gear-Up sale may eventually open up to other GearSource.com vendors, this event is exclusive to PRG’s US-based inventory.

Items will be posted at midnight EST on April 30 (available for purchase May 1 at 12:01am) and will remain listed until May 31. The initial list will be just that—an initial offering. “Over the next 30 days, a ton of additional surprises are in store,” says Fairbairn. At precisely 6 pm on May 31, the listings will disappear.

Buyers must register at GearSource.com in order to qualify.
