LONDON, ON – Ultratec Special Effects is pleased to announce the launch of their latest protective product for atmospheric effect machines, the Weather Trojan. The Weather Trojan is a Live Design International Best New Product Award Nominee in the Special Effects category.The Weather Trojan is a two-piece, heavy-duty polymer plastic container.
It is designed and engineered to protect Ultratec’s atmospheric effect machines from the weather elements in outdoor installations. The independent lid allows for easy access to inspect and service the enclosed machine.Inverted venting allows for air intake while preventing moisture from entering the interior. It is universal, meaning a single size can be used for various Ultratec atmospheric effect machines. The fluted side walls provide additional strength to the case structure. Four squared legs were added to leverage the Weather Trojan's weight, keeping it anchored and stabilized in standing water.
“The Weather Trojan delivers against an ongoing need in the live event industry, particularly for themed attractions. Regularly scheduled outdoor shows require machines to remain in the natural elements. Our atmospheric effect machines can be hidden inside the Weather Trojan and positioned wherever needed,” said Adrian Segeren, president of Ultratec.Segeren added,
"The legs serve two purposes: raise the Weather Trojan above standing water and keep the Weather Trojan stable should it sit in standing water. The inverted vents are a simple solution for air intake while keeping moisture out."
The Weather Trojan will be available in December 2023.
