LONDON, ON – Ultratec Special Effects has announced the launch of the Ice Blast, their latest fog burst product. The Ice Blast is a nominee for the Live Design International Best New Product Award in the Special Effects category. It can be integrated with the PFI 9D Fog Burst and G3000 Mega Fog Burst to produce powerful fog bursts without using CO2.
The Ice Blast uses a pneumatic gate to provide a clean end to any fog burst effect, eliminating the lingering puff of fog. It comes in a matching powder-coated stainless steel chassis and is equipped with two Neutrik Powercon Connectors for operation.DMX programming synchronizes the fog generator, (Mega) Fog Burst, and Ice Blast.
To achieve the desired duration, cut the fog, followed by cutting the (Mega) Fog Burst a second later, and then closing the Ice Blast's pneumatic gate another second later.The Ice Blast has a five-year warranty against manufacturer defects, provided that Ultratec's fog fluids are used exclusively.
According to Adrian Segeren, Ultratec's president, "Historically, fog burst effects have ended with that lingering, unwanted puff of fog that distracts from a well-planned show design. The Ice Blast eliminates that problem." Additionally, the Ice Blast provides a clean, sharp end to each fog burst, making it ideal for executing multi-fog burst effects.
