Savant Debuts Lighting Control System

Back in February, Savant Systems announced plans to acquire LiteTouch. Now, it looks like they are putting that purchase to some good use.

The company is rolling out Savant Lighting Control, which will be offered as a stand-alone lighting control system or part of the complete Savant package. Besides lighting, that offering currently includes automation and energy management.

Designed to “maximize energy efficiency, safety, convenience and ease of use all from a cohesive single platform,” Savant Lighting Control will work with a variety of keypads, as well as the company’s iOS and Mac apps, such as TrueControl and TrueImage Control.

Savant says that the stand-alone system will include the same interoperability that LiteTouch has always offered to its third-party control vendors, which are supported through the company’s Partners in Excellence Program.

“Savant brought game-changing innovation to several critical elements of the control and automation space and implementing the same powerful advantages to the lighting control category is a very natural extension of our business,” explained Bob Madonna, Savant CEO. “Our initial lighting control product designs are focused on expanding the range of system configurations and price points, giving integrators a powerful and competitive solution set that represents only the beginning of Savant’s innovation in the lighting control segment,” Madonna stated.

Savant Lighting Control is expected to launch sometime this fall, via Savant and LiteTouch dealer networks. The company plans to demo the new offering at this week’s CEDIA Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana.
