The ControlSpace family of smart amplifier and audio DSP products together, with ControlSpace Designer software from Bose Professional Systems, is now fully integrated with Dante. Each Dante option card provides 48 kHz, 24-bit digital audio network connectivity over standard IP networks for connecting with Bose and other manufacturers' Dante-enabled products. This enables users to deliver audio to and receive audio from the main worship center, lobby areas, cry rooms, individual offices or anywhere a standard network connection exits.
Built on existing networking protocols and standards, Dante is a plug-and-play networking solution that delivers ultra-low latency and tightly synchronized media while simplifying installation and configuration of digital media networks.
There are three variants of the new Dante card for the ControlSpace family of products. The new 8x8 Dante card option for the PowerMatch power amplifiers, which provides digital input to the amplifier of up to eight audio channels from a Dante network. For monitoring purposes, up to eight fold-back channels can be transmitted back onto the Dante network from a PowerMatch amplifier. A second new card model supports 16x16 digital audio channels in each Bose single-rack, fixed-analog ControlSpace engineered sound processors, including the ESP-880 (8x8 analog I/O), ESP-1240 (12x4) and ESP-4120 (4x12) products. With the addition of the third Dante network card model for the ControlSpace ESP-00 II, which is an open cardframe DSP solution consisting of eight open card slots, users now have additional flexibility. The ControlSpace ESP-00 II Dante network card is backwards compatible with ESP-00 II, ESP-00 and ESP-88 processors.
Bose ControlSpace network control and Dante audio are combined together over a single Ethernet connection keeping the setup and networking cabling simple. Bose ControlSpace Designer software enables an operator to design, configure, control and monitor all Bose-networked system electronics using a single application. ControlSpace Designer v4.1 will enable full Dante setup, configuration and routing natively within the software without the need for any external applications.
