LSC Clarity

LSC Clarity (distributed in the US by Applied Electronics) is a PC-based lighting and media control solution that offers seamless integrated control of any DMX fixture, including dimmers, LED fixtures, moving fixtures, color scrollers, LED matrix walls, and media servers. Available in four sizes providing from one to 128 universes, the system can handle a range of shows up to large-scale pixel-mapped LED walls. The graphic interface is highly configurable. Two DMX output devices (QX2 and QX4) provide two and four DMX512 outputs, respectively. Two control wings (VX10 and VX20) offer playbacks, master control, and control buttons and a trackball (in the VX20). A fully working trial version is available and will operate as an unlimited version for 30 days, after which it will revert to a free 32-fixture, 128-channel limited version.

Additional features include: Carallon fixture library; flexible programming, timing, and effects; transferable programming between different fixture types (copy-paste and fixture cloning); ability to lock cue-lists and chases to a common metronome and automatically scale them to fit into musical durations; advanced realtime effects with graphical editor; ability to filter and modify cue-lists and chases; comprehensive programmer contents, cue-list contents, output, and DMX levels view; multi-monitor support; dual programmers for comparing looks; 128 to 65,536 channels (license-dependent); built-in RDM master; MIDI control; and keyboard command line input.
