LDI Exhibitor Preview: Clear-Com Tempest2400 Digital Wireless Intercom

Tempest2400 operates worldwide in the 2.4GHz license-free frequency band and is immune to inference from other wireless devices. Each base station supports up to five full-duplex, four audio-channel digital wireless beltpacks. The iSelect Roaming feature allows moving to another space and quickly switches to a different base station. Clear-Com claims one of the longest beltpack-to-base station distances currently available, with features such as microphone kill and stage announce capabilities. Interoperability with other intercom systems is possible via four-wire and two-wire connections. The system incorporates patented Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum and proprietary Redundant Data Transmission to help maintain a reliable RF link. Its RF architecture allows the system to co-exist alongside WiFi networks with little interference, while a high audio dynamics range (>94dB) enables it to function exceptionally well in high-noise environments.
