Altman Rentals Springs Forward

Altman Rentals has hit the ground running in 2008. Though still early in the year, they have already significantly expanded their LED stock with new equipment including ColorBlasts and ColorBlazes from Color Kinetics.

“We have had such a positive response to our increased inventory of LED products over the last year that we have found our shop needed to continue to expand the range of LED technology that we offer,” says Leigh Mundy-Fretz, director of rental operations for Altman Rentals. “We have also responded to customer requests by now taking the step farther and adding moving lights to our inventory as well. We have recently brought in Martin Professional MAC 250 Entours and MAC 700 Profiles.”

In February, Altman Rentals once again supported the lighting design firm of JKLD, Inc. during events they light for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Altman Rentals supplied equipment for Tommy Hilfiger’s Women’s Fall 2008 Collection, which was presented at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center; the Proenza Schouler Fall 2008 collection, which was held at the Park Avenue Armory; and the Narciso Rodriguez Fashion Show, which returned to the Cedar Lake Center in downtown New York City.

As fashion looked to next fall, spring cleaning came early when owner Randy Altman held a used equipment auction. “We had a great auction where we sold off a lot of equipment that was not moving anymore but could have longer life elsewhere,” says Altman. “The auction and the increase in inventory were in response to what designers have been asking for from Altman Rentals. Our shop is very focused on customer service and providing the equipment that our clients want to use that meets their specific needs.”
