A group of veterans in theatre consulting, including Robert Long, Cyril Almey, Benjamin Boltin, Curtis Kasefang, Jason Prichard, Kyle Smith, and Athos Zaghi, have joined forces as Theatre Consultants Collaborative, LLC, (TCC). Based on the idea of a “virtual office,” TCC is a multi-disciplinary firm specializing in the planning and design of performance facilities in the US and Canada.

Robe Show Lighting has restructured its US operation. Michael Carattini was appointed president, and a new headquarters and warehouse opened in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Tony Perez has also been appointed as eastern US sales manager. The existing west coast office and warehouse continues under the direction of Ron Ramirez, vice president of Robe America and director of western US operations.

VLPS expanded its sales team with the addition of Mark de Gruyter as regional sales manager. He will manage the Southern European, Middle East, and African territories.

At the University of California-Los Angeles School of Theatre, Film, and Television, Laszlo Kovacs, ASC, has been named the Kodak Cinematographer in Residence. Kovacs will conduct a series of workshops for students focusing on the aesthetic role that cinematographers play in the collaborative process of filmmaking.

Bruno Silva has joined the Martin US Architectural team as technical sales specialist. Silva's duties will include providing on-site technical support, systems integration, and controls specialization.

After working in New York for 10 years, Andris Kasparovics is heading west to work as lighting designer for DaVinci Fusion Inc., an event production company in Northern California.

As director of control systems development, Brad Schiller is back at High End Systems Inc., in Austin, TX. Schiller hopes to bring a more user-led approach to systems development.

The Chicago office of Creative Technology recently added two new team members to its staff: project manager Michael Wohlitz and business development/account executive Kevin Gros. Wohlitz comes to CT Chicago from SCS Productions, Inc., and Gros was most recently with Production Foundry.
