Electrosonic Systems Inc. (Electrosonic) announces three new executive hires. Michael Donohue, Richard Maxfield, and David Saville recently joined the company's growing public spaces business.

“The addition of the high-profile executives at Electrosonic reflects our continuing expansion and the opportunities Electrosonic offers to its employees and to talented individuals in the industry joining the company for the first time,” notes Jim Bowie, Electrosonic’s general manager for the North American public spaces business unit.

Michael Donohue, who joins the company as business development manager, brings over 30 years of rich-media experience to Electrosonic. Donohue began his career while still at UCLA by creating and implementing Transamerica’s Telecommunication Network in the mid-’70s. He then moved onto systems and technology deployments, first as a sales executive for Video Systems Network and Centro and later as a VP of Sales for CBX, ultimately becoming the Director of Sales and Marketing for SAIC.

Before joining Electrosonic, Donohue was the regional sales manager for Pathfire and prior to this, he was VP of new product sales for Ascent Media Network Services. There he helped to envision, sell, and market a new store and forward platform called Media Express.

"Michael's knowledge and experience with all facets of content life cycle, from its creation through its distribution, is an asset to Electrosonic’s role as a worldwide leader in the content management and distribution arena," adds Bowie.

National operations manager Richard Maxfield brings over 20 years experience in Themed Entertainment and Corporate Communications to the Custom Solutions division of Electrosonic Systems, Inc. Prior to joining Electrosonic, Maxfield was a senior program manager with Walt Disney Imagineering where he was responsible for managing the design, production, and installation of show systems for new attractions and parks on three continents.

Before his tenure at WDI, Maxfield was the general manager of Thomas Gregor Associates, a show systems integration company. A graduate of the UCLA Department of Theatre, Film and Television, he was a staging producer in the ‘80s with MultiMedia Presentations where he staged live shows and events for such clients as Porsche, Honda, and Compaq.

David Saville, who comes onboard as systems sales engineer, brings the team 20-plus years of experience in the Motion Picture and Television industries. Prior to a career in sales, Saville was heavily involved in specialized engineering projects all around the globe giving him an extensive background in High Definition entertainment.

Saville has more recently been active in the marketing and sales of both software and hardware system solutions and has been instrumental in getting a leading LCD display product to market with applications in multiple facets of the entertainment industry. He will be focused on cementing relationships with existing clients and developing new opportunities for the solutions expertise of the company.
