This year's Projection Master Classes at LDI is set to be a highly engaging two-day event with some of the industry's finest coming together to discuss the latest developments in projection mapping. With creative consultant and visualist extraordinaire Bob Bonniol of MODE Studios at the helm, there will be eight deep-delving sessions spanning over 19 and 20 November.
Ending the first day of the classes, Bob Bonniol will moderate a panel on stage discussing Marvel Universe LIVE!, the innovative live touring production featuring Marvel Super Heroes. With d3 selected as the pre-visualisation and media server for this project, d3 Technologies Software Director Ash Nehru will be part of the panel, which also includes Gil Densham from BlackTrax, Antfarm's Lisa Telles and director Shanda Sawyer as well as associate designer Pablo Molina. The panel hopes to provide insight in how this live touring spectacular turned from creative ambitions to a full-blown arena show.
Following on the second day, 20 November, d3's Ash Nehru will again be part of a panel discussion, this time discussing 'the BIG picture'. With technologies and techniques rapidly changing and shows becoming bigger continuously, AV products need to be able to handle more resolution faster than ever before. Having been involved with some of the most complex video productions on earth, d3 is often at the forefront of large-scale events and continues to develop innovative solutions with designers who push technical boundaries worldwide.
d3 is the world’s first fully integrated visual production system for video professionals, combining a real-time 3D stage visualiser, timeline, video playback engine and projection mapping tools into one product. d3’s unique integrated workflow assists the designer at all stages of the project, from pitch to delivery.
