Backstage Las Vegas at LDI 2023 caps off it's day of Las Vegas tours and events on Saturday, December 2, with Mad Apple by Cirque du Soleil at New York New York.
Mad Apple is a delightful Cirque du Soleil concoction of New York-inspired acrobatics, music, dance, magic, and comedy in a relentless thrill experience that celebrates the non-stop metropolis from the time you enter the theatre. Mad Apple blurs the lines between circus, live entertainment, and New York nightlife culture, offering pre-show magic, boozy beverages at the gorgeous stage bar, and a band playing the biggest musical tunes inspired by the city. Mad Apple rewrites the story of Las Vegas entertainment with a dynamic cast that includes performers from the musical and dance worlds, as well as comedians, circus artists and magicians.
In addition to seeing the 7pm performance, LDI's Backstage Las Vegas attendees will also have a production/technical experience with a visit to the theatre during the day, which includes talks about the lighting, audio, automation, and video used in Mad Apple.
These talks have been coordinated by David Dovell, senior director production services for Cirque du Soleil's resident show division and Todd Toresdahl, Mad Apple technical director (a round of applause!)
