U2 iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour Images

U2 has set out on its iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour, going for arenas this time around, rather than stadiums. The tour features  creative direction by Willie Williams, with set design by Es Devlin and Ric Lipson (Stufish), working with lighting directors Sparky Risk and Alex Murphy and longtime production manager Jake Berry. The tour’s video director is Stefaan “Smasher” Desmedt, with video content production by Ben Nicholson. Joe O'Herlihy is the sound designer. Tait built the set, with PRG providing lighting and PRG Nocturne supplying video.

Check out a teaser of the tour design in the video below. See images from the tour in the following pages.

A Single Light Bulb

Scaling back from the 360 Tour, the concert begins with a single light bulb, reminiscent of when Bono began to play music in his room on Cedarwood Road (also the name of a U2 song). I + E

The stage is a triple platform with one shaped like an "I" for innocence and one shaped like an "e" for experience. The third is a walkway platform. Read about the preparations and design concepts for the iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour.
