Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show: All Access CAD Drawings

All Access, sponsor of Live Design's in-depth coverage of the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, shares CAD drawings for the on-field concert starring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem. All Access provided the set and staging for the Super Bowl Halftime show for the twelfth year in a row. This year, the company had the home field advantage. SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA, is just down the street from All Access’ headquarters in Torrance.

Dr. Dre’s scene was the most involved element of the Neighborhood from All Access’ perspective, featuring the largest lift the team had built for any halftime show. The 24’ by 16’ lift elevated the whole Studio set to roof level, traveling 8’. The carts for the Studio set were more than 7500 lbs. each. The set pieces rolled out on 30 carts (24’ by 8’), which were larger than a typical field cart, requiring up to 20 workers to maneuver onto the field.

Double runs of LED were integrated as accent lighting on all the building elements–more than 2,000 feet.

All Access fabricated (and scenic painted) the building structures of each set piece and integrated video tiles into the walls and windows.

Es Devlin's scenic design was called the Neighborhood, a multi-perspective, interactive set with smoke, lights, lifts, theatrics in seven set pieces: Dr. Dre’s Studio, the Courthouse, Barber Shop, the Club, Tam’s Burgers, Snoop’s House, and the MLK Memorial, which all have significance to Dr. Dre and the performers.
