Queen + Adam Lambert's The Rhapsody Tour

A judging panel of entertainment professionals shortlisted STUFISH's stage design for Queen + Adam Lambert's The Rhapsody Tour for the Concert Production Design Award (production/scenic design) in the Concert Touring & Events category in Live Design's 2020 Design Achievement Awards. The kinetic stage evolves to tell a story of three acts, starting in an elaborate opera house created as a virtual model in Notch and later transforming into a Metropolis futuristic/deco setting via automated scenery. The final act of the show reimagines the big light shows that Queen is famous for and adds a modern twist to bring their aesthetic into the future. The stage design includes a lift for a Harley Davidson, a second drumkit for an intimate B stage section, a lift appearing as an asteroid for Brian May's guitar solo, and VIP opera boxes for 40 onstage audience members.
