A Place Of Pride: design one Lights Up Times Square

What better place than New York City’s iconic Times Square as the epicenter of the culmination of WorldPride, honoring the 50th anniversary of Stonewall. Held on June 30, the ceremony featured a roster of musicians who represent the LGBTQIA+ community, including Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, Melissa Etheridge. The producers—Ideko, NYC Pride, and the WorldPride Organization—wanted an electric feeling of joy and excitement. Live Design chats with Weston G. Wetzel, associate lighting designer at design one lighting design on how the lighting reflected that sense of excitement on this historic occasion.
