With nearly a year of planning, John Featherstone of Lightswitch illuminated the scale and context of the ancient city of Diriyah, the birthplace of the Saudi Kingdom and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on November 20, 2019. With lighting fixtures scattered throughout the city, roads and buildings were filled with light and vivid beams of color punched into the sky above during the Opening Ceremony, produced and directed by Executive Visions. Extensive projection mapping and lasers accompanied the show.
