Ola Melzig, production manager for Eurovision Song Contest, chats live from Expo Tel Aviv in Israel where they are preparing for the 2019 edition of the globally popular contest. To accommodate the huge show and all its different looks, there are 13 lighting consoles and 30 lighting crew members, including followspot operators, and four video operators plus an onsite content team to create visuals for the 19 million pixel stage design by Florian Wieder. There is 185 tons of gear in the ceiling, which does not include the massive LED screen, which is ground-supported. 6,000 meters of truss; 250 miles of cable; 1,800 moving lights; and more.
