Eurovision Song Contest Celebrates 60th Year

Broadcast annually since 1956, Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) celebrated the final for its 60th year in a big way with 197 million viewers worldwide, 10,000-strong live audience, and watched in 40 countries for its three live shows, May 19, 21, and 23. Hosted at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria, the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest featured production design by creative producer Florian Wieder and lighting design by Al Gurdon. Kurt Pongratz is the director and live event specialist of ESC. Osram was the official lighting partner of ESC. PRG supplied the lighting and rigging. The event featured a sound reinforcement system from Meyer Sound and signal distribution from Blackmagic Design.
