Q1 Connects With Color Kinetics

Larry Darling, Q1’s VP of sales, has announced that the company has made a significant investment in its relationship with Color Kinetics through a substantial equipment purchase for Q1’s rental division, the addition of a full range of demo products for the company showrooms, and a major commitment to represent Color Kinetics products for sale and installations.

According to Darling, Q1 sees Color Kinetics as the absolute market leader in LED technology and believes that the Boston-based company will continue to dominate the field with its development team. “They have clearly revolutionized the industry with the simplicity of their color-changing process–their approach is the wave of the future, and that’s what keeps us all excited in this business.”

Q1 account managers in both the company’s sales and rentals divisions have had tremendous success in introducing the power-efficient LED technology to their clients, especially for those productions and installations where power availability has historically been a limiting factor. Darling, along with Q1 VP of rentals, Craig Redden, believes that LED technology is going to factor heavily in almost everything Q1 is involved in, and the association with Color Kinetics further represents the company’s mandate. A number of Q1 associates will be attending the Color Kinetics training center in Boston for comprehensive product-knowledge and technical education.

In the meantime, Darling is excited about a number of “very high profile” opportunities Q1 is working on and is impressed with the level of attention and support that the Color Kinetics management team brings to the process. “Western Pacific Northwest/Western Canada representative Jay Stotesbery and sales director Rob McCulley have really made this a great working relationship,” adds Darling. “We look forward to a long and productive partnership.”
