New Staging & Custom Set Design Department At Active Production and Design

On April 15 Active Production and Design, a full-service audio visual company, added 7,500sq.ft. to its warehouse to accommodate its new Drape, Staging and Custom Set Design Department. The department is dedicated to creating one-of-a-kind set designs and fabrications, pipe and drape, back drops, staging, and soft goods.

“This new space gives us the ability to create and set up custom-made sets and productions before we even get to an event or venue. This allows us to troubleshoot problems before they happen, making our production execution even more efficient for our clients,” says Matt Clouser, president. “We have always provided this service to our clients, but now it’s official.”

Active’s custom made set department will be headed by master set designer Hollis Ellison. Ellison has worked with Active for almost 10 years in either a freelance or full time capacity. With a background in set design commercial photography, Ellison has already began several fabrications for unique sets that he and his team will begin production on.

“I was very excited when Matt asked me to head up this department. Building and designing is my passion and I’m glad to be apart of Active’s rapid growth,” comments Ellison.
