Norman, OK: Mod Scenes, the highest rated stage design manufacturer in the country, has shifted gears to start manufacturing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for healthcare staff and first responders.
In early April the team at Mod Scenes started the process of procuring raw materials to manufacture protective face shields for use during the Covid 19 pandemic. These shields are designed to reduce the likelihood of infection in the treatment of Covid 19. The team at Mod Scenes started production late in March and have been increasing capacity ever since. The company is currently producing 3,000 shields per day. As need arises, face shield production can be increased to over 10,000 per day.
The face shields being built by Mod Scenes are made of lightweight clear plastic that can be easily cleaned. Each face shield has an elastic band to securely hold the masks in place. A foam headrest allows users to wear glass, goggles, and N95 masks without interference. Photos of the shields can be found below. Each of the shields is individually packaged to ensure cleanliness.
In addition the team has also designing a disposable mask that can be manufactured in higher volumes to meet the needs of our countries health professionals.
