Lex Products Acquires Ferra Tech, Opens New Facility

Lex Products has acquired Ferra Tech of Burbank, CA. In addition to the acquisition, Lex has also opened a new 15,000-sq-ft manufacturing warehouse and office facility in Sun Valley, CA.

The new relationship will allow Lex Products to increase their capacity and reduce shipping times in the Western US and Canada.

“Ferra Tech has been serving the wire harness and cable assembly industry for almost 20 years and has proven expertise in building a complete range of cable assemblies for the Entertainment Industry,” says Bob Luther, CEO of Lex Products. “Like Lex Products, Ferra Tech exhibits an attention to detail, a passion for perfection and performance levels that exceed typical industry standards. Plus, Ferra Tech’s capabilities will also allow us to enhance our diversifed product portfolio with high-end audio cables,” Luther adds.

In addition to cable assemblies and bulk cable and connectors, Lex Products will also be stocking their PowerHouse™ Rubber distribution boxes and Lex- Electrol Dimming and Control Systems at the new Sun Valley location.

“Ferra Tech and Lex have traditionally practiced both art and science in the development of our products and services, notes Bob Ferra, former president of Ferra Tech and now the new general manager of Lex Products’ Western US and Canada office. “The integration of our methods and processes will be exciting, not only for us, but our customers as well.”

Mark McKinney, VP of sales for Lex Products, will be at the new Sun Valley office for the next few months, overseeing customer relations and business development. "Lex West is about a commitment to innovation, service, and support of our West Coast and Canadian customers. I am very excited about the team we are building and our positive impact to the industry at large," he says.
