Tour engineer and production manager, Jeff Kaplan passed away Wednesday, January 7 after he was hit by an SUV, according to ProSound Network.
Kaplan has worked with artists of many genres, including pop (Michelle Branch, Thomas Dolby, Plain White T's, Fiction Plane), alternative (Brand New, Jimmies Chicken Shack, G. Love and Special Sauce), hip-hop (Snoop Dogg), and metal (Buckcherry, POD, Unwritten Law, A Day To Remember).
Kaplan leaves behind his seven-year-old daughter, Vivien, whose interests in theatre, singing, and education he always supported. An online memorial fund for Vivien was set up with the hope of raising $75,000. As of the posting of this article, 455 donations have raised $47,683.
