David Jacobi has joined event lighting company Kinetic Lighting, Inc. as director of production services.
Jacobi – formerly of McNally Enterprises – brings over 14 years of experience in the lighting and staging industry to Kinetic. In his new position, he will be responsible for the overall procurement, design, management and operation of event productions while supervising Kinetic’s production staff. He began his tenure with Kinetic on Jan. 19.
“I love the energy you feel at Kinetic; they obviously love what they do,” Jacobi says. “As a young, rapidly expanding company, they are doing so many things right. I want to be part of that, helping to take the company further. You can tell they are on the verge of exploding into something huge.”

Jacobi takes over for James Schipper, one of Kinetic’s founding partners who had overseen the production department since 2003. Schipper will now focus on new business development while maintaining greater interaction with existing clients.
