The creative minds in our industry are not letting the grass grow under their feet. They may be temporarily unemployed or seeing project after project postponed or cancelled, but there are already many instances of folks jumping into the fray with new ideas. One more example of this phenomenon is Geoffrey Platt, most recently of RealMotion: “I’m looking at this moment as a time of opportunity, a time to renew, grow, and evolve. This is a scary time, but also a good time to experiment, go outside your comfort zones, and connect. This is a time to dive deep into our passions,” he says.
“I’ve always been passionate about exploring new technologies and applications in real time video and live event technologies. Coming together to learn, share, and create in new ways. And I would love to have you join me,” Platt entices.
So he has created a new, interactive, online (social-distancing-approved!) series: Ahead of The Curve, the first edition of which will be streamed live on Thursday, March 26, at 1pm EDT.
This is the first of many broadcasts featuring all the new ideas, applications, and technologies happening in our industry. “The real stories going on that are creating change and moving us all to the next level,” says Platt. “In our debut session, we’re exploring the newest virtual production workflows and a behind the scenes look at the top technologies and structures for removing location dependence as I interview leading expert Berto Mora from All Of It Now.”
