All participants will attend a Broadway show that will be critiqued as part of the classes.

Creative consultant for the third annual Broadway Sound Master Classes (BSMC) is acclaimed sound designer Abe Jacob, considered by the industry as the "godfather" of sound design. He will present the keynote address to kick off the BSMC on Thursday morning. Faculty for the BSMC will be announced soon. Projection designer Wendall K. Harrington will be the creative consultant for the first annual Projection Master Classes. She will be joined by leading projection professionals who will share creative and technical techniques in designing projection for live events, with special emphasis on the convergence of lighting, sets, and projection in theatre and concerts. The Projection Master Classes will be held on Thursday and Friday, June 23 and 24.

The EDDY Awards pay tribute to those whose work has made an impact in our industry. The editors of Entertainment Design select the winners with an eye toward true excellence in technical and design-related fields. Since 1991, over 40 individuals, eight design or production teams, one union, one creature shop, one concert construction company, one full-service scenic shop, and one theatrical production department have been so honored. In recent years, the EDDY Awards have celebrated both the spirit of collaboration, and remarkable individual achievement, as well as technical advancement with a series of product awards in professional audio, projection, and lighting categories. The 13th EDDY Awards will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2005; this year’s winners will be announced in March.
