DiGiCo Adds Oriental Spice To Distributor Network

With the arms of the DiGiCo network progressively stretching to encompass the entire globe, the recent appointment of Hong Kong-based Eastern Acoustic Development Ltd (EAD) will ensure DiGiCo consoles penetrate further into this major market.

Established in 1997, EAD also has offices in the key Chinese cities of Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. As one of the region’s audio equipment suppliers, the company was the perfect choice to continue DiGiCo’s concentrated push into the far Eastern market.

“EAD was started as a professional audio and project management business,” says company founder YK Cheung. “But throughout the past decade, we have maintained continuous expansion and now provide a one-stop service for a wide range of audio/visual requirements, including design, installation, marketing, technical support, and maintenance services. Becoming a DiGiCo distributor has meant that we can now offer the highest possible quality digital mixing consoles to the rapidly growing hi-tech entertainment market in China, enhancing our position as a leading service provider.”

DiGiCo distribution sales coordinator James Bradley adds, “We are happy to engage in this alliance with EAD as they have a proven track record in the industry. We are certain that having them handling distribution in China will significantly raise both our profile and sales in this territory.”
