Chow Family Accepts Live Design's Excellence Award In Architainment

Live Design's 2015-16 Excellence In Live Design awards, selected by our online readers, were presented, alongside the individual achievement and Products of the Year awards, at the Live Design Awards Ceremony on June 13 at Upper Story by Charlie Palmer in New York. At the ceremony, LDI conference director Ellen Lampert-Greaux presented an Excellence Award in the Architainment category to the Jack Chow Building in Vancouver’s Chinatown, submitted by World’s Famous Building Corporation. The world’s narrowest commercial building has been reimagined with light and media by designer Rod Chow, who worked with control system designer firm, Eos Lightmedia and the firm’s project designer, Eugene Mendelev. Animated presentations now run hourly, day and night, to synchronized to music.
